How each network counts

X
280, weighted. Every link counts as 23, however long. Emoji and Chinese, Japanese and Korean characters count as 2. Latin, Cyrillic, Arabic and most other scripts count as 1.
Threads
500. Emoji count by their size in bytes.
Bluesky
300 graphemes: what you see as one character counts as one.
YouTube
5,000 bytes of description. The first line becomes the title.

LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest and Google Business Profile count one per character here. Limits match the ones Postlite checks before it publishes.

Let Postlite write the post, too

Editors draft in your voice, and every draft gets Read, Skim or Pass before it goes out. A Pass on X waits until you fix it.
